Nanobody‐Decorated Lipid Nanoparticles for Enhanced mRNA Delivery to Tumors In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a targeted mRNA‐LNP platform engineered with anti‐PSMA nanobodies for prostate cancer therapy. Using different in vivo models, the authors demonstrate selective uptake and mRNA delivery in PSMA+ cancer cells. However, while targeting is enhanced, mRNA delivery efficacy is limited by tissue penetration, tumor necrosis, and immune ...

Monte Carlo Simulation-Based Calculations of Complex DNA Damage for Incidents of Environmental Ionizing Radiation Exposure

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In this paper, we present a useful Monte Carlo (MC)-based methodology that can be utilized to calculate the absorbed dose and the initial levels of complex DNA damage (such as double strand breaks-DSBs) in the case of an environmental ionizing radiation (

Radionuclide transfer to reptiles [PDF]

open access: yesRadiation and Environmental Biophysics, 2010
Reptiles are an important, and often protected, component of many ecosystems but have rarely been fully considered within ecological risk assessments (ERA) due to a paucity of data on contaminant uptake and effects. This paper presents a meta-analysis of literature-derived environmental media (soil and water) to whole-body concentration ratios (CRs ...

Self‐Powered α Radionuclide Nanomedicine: Mitochondria‐Targeted Multimodal Energy Recycling for Amplified Radioimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nanomedicine co‐loading of the α‐emitter 223RaCl2 within iron‐based MOFs is developed. Precisely targeted to mitochondria, it exploits the full decay spectrum to synchronize three therapeutic actions: direct α‐particle ionization, self‐powered catalytic H2O2 generation via secondary electrons, and immunogenic cell death induction ...

Facile Synthesis of Nanolayered Manganese Oxide for the Efficient and Selective Removal of Strontium(II) from Nuclear Wastewater

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel nanolayered manganese oxide material (Na‐NLMO) is prepared using a rapid and straightforward method for efficient adsorption of Sr(II) in both simulated waste liquid and natural water systems. Its excellent adsorption performance of Na‐NLMO could be attributed to the accessible layered structure and negatively charged framework.
