Clinical Outcomes and Follow‐Up in Children With Prenatally Detected Unilateral Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To explore the possibility of reducing the diagnostic burden in children with prenatally detected unilateral ureteropelvic junction obstruction. Methods Children with unilateral ureteropelvic junction obstruction (2012–2020) were identified from a prenatal hydronephrosis registry.

Increased aeolian activity linked to Neoglacial cooling and glacier advance in southern Greenland

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Intense aeolian activity observed in the Igaliku Kujalleq records in S Greenland is not related to Norse activities. Instead, we suggest that changes in the North Atlantic atmospheric circulation pattern combined with Neoglacial glacier advances led to increased katabatic wind activity and triggered increased aeolian activity from large outwash plains.

Geochronological investigations at the maximum extent of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet during the Late Weichselian glaciation in northern Germany

open access: yesBoreas, Volume 54, Issue 2, Page 246-257, April 2025.
We offer new insights into the development of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet during the Late Weichselian, by presenting OSL dates of ice marginal areas and incorporating our data into the latest models on ice sheet evolution. This paper investigates the time‐transgressive evolution of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet (FIS) during the Late Weichselian ...

Palaeoenvironmental changes recorded at the Velika Vrbica loess‐palaeosol sequence, Wallachian Basin, during MIS 3–MIS 1

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
This study presents a detailed investigation of the Velika Vrbica loess‐palaeosol sequence, situated in the Wallachian Basin of northeastern Serbia, with the aim to reconstruct palaeoenvironmental changes spanning Marine Isotope Stages (MIS) 3 to 1. Using optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating, low field magnetic susceptibility (χlf), and mass ...

Approach to the Management of Gastrointestinal Manifestations in Patients With Phaeochromocytoma and Paraganglioma

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Managing gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with phaeochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL) is challenging due to the risk of catecholaminergic crisis with many commonly prescribed medications, especially in functional tumours.

Body composition changes during weight reduction with tirzepatide in the SURMOUNT‐1 study of adults with obesity or overweight

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 27, Issue 5, Page 2720-2729, May 2025.
Abstract Aims We assessed changes in body composition following tirzepatide treatment in a substudy of participants with obesity or overweight from the SURMOUNT‐1 trial, overall and post hoc in clinically relevant subgroups. Materials and Methods Substudy participants (n = 160 of the 2539 in SURMOUNT‐1) underwent dual‐energy X‐ray absorptiometry (DXA ...

Effects of insulin‐induced hypoglycaemia on cardiac function in people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and people without diabetes

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 27, Issue 5, Page 2768-2776, May 2025.
Abstract Aims Cardiovascular disease is the most common complication and cause of death in people with diabetes. Hypoglycaemia is independently associated with the development of cardiovascular complications, including death. The aim of this study was to assess changes in cardiac function and workload during acute hypoglycaemia in people with and ...

Myocardial perfusion imaging in advanced coronary artery disease

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, EarlyView.
Myocardial perfusion imaging in advanced coronary artery disease. This review focusses on the utility of MPI by means of CMR, SPECT and PET, in patients with advanced CAD—the latter characterized by documented CAD (i.e. MI and/or PCI, prior CABG or the presence of a CTO).

Effectiveness of the Ureteral Illuminating Catheter in Securing Adhesive Ureters in Robot‐Assisted Ureteral Reconstruction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Ureteral strictures, a common complication of ureteral stone treatment, pose substantial challenges. These conditions often necessitate robot‐assisted ureteral reconstruction (RUR), a procedure complicated by difficulty in identifying and mobilizing adhesive ureters.
