RADIONUCLIDES IN ENDOCRINE IMAGING
Radiologic Clinics of North America, 1993Radiopharmaceuticals used in endocrine imaging encompass both standard and recently developed techniques used to diagnose diseases of the endocrine system. The initial part of this article deals with the characteristics of a suitable radionuclide/radiopharmaceutical required for successful scintigraphic endocrine imaging.

Radionuclide bone imaging of the skeleton, now well established as the most important diagnostic procedure in detecting bone metastases, is also a reliable method for the evaluation of the progression or regression of metastatic bone disease. The article concentrates on the technetium-99m agents and the value of these agents in the widespread ...

Radionuclide Imaging of Thoracic Malignancies
Radiologic Clinics of North America, 2004Over the past decade a variety nuclear medicine imaging studies have become available that are of considerable value to patients who have pulmonary malignancies. By far the greatest impact on the management of patients who have thoracic malignancy has been the availability of 18FDG-PET imaging.

Despite the emergence of newer cross-sectional imaging approaches, radionuclide techniques have maintained a significant role in genital imaging. While ultrasound is clearly superior for evaluation of scrotal anatomy, radionuclide scrotal imaging remains the most effective method for differentiating between testicular torsion and epididymitis.

Radionuclide Imaging of Children
2020Although many types of radionuclide studies are similar in adults and children, there is specific consideration to be aware of in the pediatric population. Careful planning and good communication is essential for acquiring an optimum study. Having the appropriate tools, environment, and enough time is of pivotal importance. In addition, it is important
