Computer-assisted radiation treatment planning system for determination of beam directions based on similar cases in a database for stereotactic body radiotherapy

SPIE Proceedings, 2012
Similar treatment plans or similar cases in radiotherapy treatment planning (RTP) databases of senior experienced planners could be helpful or educational for treatment planners who have few experiences of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of beam arrangements determined using similar ...

[Beam radiotherapy of malignant tumors using computer-assisted radiotherapy programs].

Meditsinskaia radiologiia, 1990
The authors give a brief description a ROKUS-M + Altai-MT system, its software ASPECT-1, stages of radiotherapy design and implementation of optimized programs. They gave examples of optimum computerized design of irradiation in tumors of the nasopharynx, breast, female genitals, esophagus, lungs, bladder, and rectum.

Computer-assisted conformation radiotherapy system. An application of CT.

European journal of radiology, 1984
A newly developed computer-assisted conformation radiotherapy system is presented and its accuracy discussed in an experimental investigation and a clinical study. The system consists of a CT scanner, radiotherapy treatment planning system and linear accelerator. These systems are smoothly interconnected.

New Trends in Computer-Assisted Radiotherapy with Conventional Radiation

1989
Radiotherapy as a local treatment modality aims at the treatment of localized tumors. As local or locoregional failure of therapy is the cause of death in about one-third of all tumor patients, the development of methods for improved local tumor control is still expected to dominate research activities in the next 5–10 years (de Vita 1983; Kuttig 1987).

[Computer-assisted tumor documentation, after-care and medical correspondence in radiotherapy].

Strahlentherapie und Onkologie : Organ der Deutschen Rontgengesellschaft ... [et al], 1989
Without electronic data processing the recording and statistical evaluation of a great number of tumor patients is only hardly possible. A tumor register and follow-up program is described which has been established for radiotherapy during the development of a national tumor register organized at present.

Computer-assisted rotation and multiple stationary irradiation technique. Newly designed overrunning multi-leaf collimators for conformation radiotherapy.

European journal of radiology, 1988
A computer-assisted rotation and stationary conformation radiotherapy system with overrunning multileaf collimators has been developed. This system can produce any shape of target volume, including a number of target areas outside the axis of the rotation, regardless of the location of the axis at 360 degrees rotation irradiation.
