Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

On the numerical radius parallelism and the numerical radius Birkhoff orthogonality [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In this paper, we generalize the notions of numerical radius parallelism and numerical radius Birkhoff orthogonality, originally formulated for operators on Hilbert spaces, to operators on normed spaces. We then proceed to demonstrate their fundamental properties.

Sharp upper and lower bounds for the spectral radius of a nonnegative irreducible matrix [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
In this paper, we obtain the sharp upper and lower bounds for the spectral radius of a nonnegative irreducible matrix. We also apply these bounds to various matrices associated with a graph or a digraph, obtain some new results or known results about various spectral radii, including the adjacency spectral radius, the signless Laplacian spectral radius,

Consolidate Overview of Ribonucleic Acid Molecular Dynamics: From Molecular Movements to Material Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics simulations are advancing the study of ribonucleic acid (RNA) and RNA‐conjugated molecules. These developments include improvements in force fields, long‐timescale dynamics, and coarse‐grained models, addressing limitations and refining methods.

On the distance $α$-spectral radius of a connected graph [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
For a connected graph $G$ and $\alpha\in [0,1)$, the distance $\alpha$-spectral radius of $G$ is the spectral radius of the matrix $D_{\alpha}(G)$ defined as $D_{\alpha}(G)=\alpha T(G)+(1-\alpha)D(G)$, where $T(G)$ is a diagonal matrix of vertex transmissions of $G$ and $D(G)$ is the distance matrix of $G$.

TREATMENT OF UNSTABLE DISTAL RADIUS FRACTURES BY PERCUTANEOUS PINNING AND PLASTER CAST IMMOBILIZATION

open access: yesGomal Journal of Medical Sciences, 2015
Background: Treatment of displaced fractures of the distal end of radius has changed over the course of time. This study was conducted to determine the functional and radiological outcome of percutaneous pinning followed by plaster cast for unstable ...

Nanoparticle‐Coated X2CrNiMo17‐12‐2 Powder for Additive Manufacturing – Part I: Surface, Flowability, and Optical Properties of SiC, Si, and Si3N4 Coated Metal Powders

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, silicon‐based nanoparticle coatings on X2CrNiMo17‐12‐2 metal powder are presented. The coating process scale, process parameters, nanoparticle size (65–200 nm) as well as the coating amount are discussed regarding powder properties. The surface roughness affects the flowability, while reflectance depends on the coating material and surface ...
