High‐Power Hybrid Nanogenerator With Multi‐Degree‐of‐Freedom Mechanical Coupling for Harvesting Water Wave Energy

A high‐power hybrid nanogenerator (HP‐HNG) with multi‐degree‐of‐freedom mechanical coupling is reported, integrating multi‐directional wave energy for output to achieve 1 + 1 > 2 energy harvesting. The cover illustrates the imperfect oriented attachment of gold nanoparticles in liquid, as revealed by in situ liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy. Triggered by the abrupt collapse of the interfacial hydration layer, two misoriented nanoparticles undergo a kinetically driven “jump‐to‐coalescence”.
