Development of a one-pot synthesis of rGO in water by optimizing Tour’s method parameters [PDF]
Since its first synthesis in 2004, graphene has been widely studied and several different synthesis methods has been developed. Solvent exfoliation of graphite and the reduction of graphene oxide previously obtained through graphite oxidation are the ...

Mechanochemical Upcycling of Polyvinylidene Fluoride: Lewis Acid Induced Generation of Sodium Aluminium Fluorides. [PDF]
A solvent‐free mechanochemical process to upcycle PVDF waste into sodium aluminium fluorides, which are essential for aluminium production, was developed. By ball milling PVDF with AlCl3 and NaCl, the polymer degrades into chiolite and graphitic materials. Subsequent calcination then yields cryolite.

Controlled Triazine-Based Covalent Functionalization of Black Phosphorus for Degradable Hybrid Materials. [PDF]
A scalable triazine‐based covalent functionalization strategy of black phosphorus nanosheets provides controlled P‐N surface chemistry with enhanced grafting density in the presence of a phase‐transfer catalyst. As a representative example, BP‐sulfated polymer conjugates exhibit strong in vitro antiviral activity against enveloped viruses and ...

Operando Investigation of Mechanochemically Synthesized Ni-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks for Electrocatalytic Alcohol Oxidation. [PDF]
A nickel‐based metal–organic framework (Ni‐MOF) with mixed N‐ and O‐donor linkers was synthesized via both mechanochemical and solvothermal routes and evaluated as an electrocatalyst for alcohol oxidation reactions (AORs). Despite having identical crystal and electronic structures, the mechanochemically synthesized Ni‐MOF (termed as MC‐MOF) exhibited ...

Correlative Chemical Imaging to Reveal the Nature of Different Commercial Graphene Materials. [PDF]
Commercial graphene‐based materials from different sources and of varying complexities were investigated correlatively using commonly employed imaging techniques, including SEM, AFM, ToF‐SIMS, AES, and EDS. ToF‐SIMS combined with SEM was identified as the most effective combination for simultaneously resolving the complex morphology and chemical ...

Two-Dimensional Polycyclodextrins for Strong Multivalent Host-Guest Interactions at Biointerfaces. [PDF]
Two‐dimensional poly(β‐cyclodextrin)s (2D‐CDs) are synthesized using graphene and boron nitride templates to create nanosheets capable of multivalent host‐guest interactions at biointerfaces. Template‐driven assembly controls sheet size, while sulfation enhances electrostatic interactions at biointerfaces.
