On Lifting Quasi-Radon Measures

Siberian Mathematical Journal, 2001
For an open continuous mapping \(\pi\:X\to\Pi\), the author proves the existence of a majorizable lifting of the space of quasi-Radon measures defined on the Borel \(\sigma\)-algebra of a locally compact paracompact space \(\Pi\) to the space of quasi-Radon measures defined on the Borel \(\sigma\)-algebra of a locally compact space \(X\).

Radon measurements in groundwater

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry Articles, 1995
A device was developed for the collection, containment, and bubbling of radon from groundwater samples to facilitate concentration measurements in the field without the need for fragile glassware. Wellwater supplies were collected in high-potential areas of New York State in a comparison of the device with traditional methods (liquid scintillation and ...

Borel Measures and Radon Measures

1995
The preceding chapter dealt with abstract measure theory; given an abstract set X, we rather arbitrarily prescribed the σ-algebra B of its measurable subsets. In this chapter, we work in a space X which is locally compact and can be written as a countable union of compact sets. A natural σ -algebra in this context is the Borel algebra B X .

Quasi-Radon measures

Siberian Mathematical Journal, 1991
Let \(X\) be a complete regular topological space, \(\mathcal K\) (resp. \(\Sigma\)) the family of closed (resp. compact) subsets of \(X\), \(M(X)\) (resp. \(C_ b(X)\)) the space of Borel (resp. bounded continuous) real valued functions on \(X\), \(Y\) a lattice-normed space by means of the Riesz space \(F\) [ cf. \textit{L. V. Kantorovich}, \textit{B.

Hausdorff and Radon Measures

2011
In this chapter we present the fundamental theorems of measure theory, such as the Lebesgue–Besicovitch differentiation theorem, the Stieltjes– Lebesgue theory of integral, the fundamental properties of Hausdorff measures and the general area and coarea formulas.

Products of Radon measures

2011
Given a Radón measure on each of two locally compact Hausdorff spaces we consider three product measures on the product space - the classical product measure generated by measurable rectangles as in Munroe, the product measure generated by measurable rectangles and nil sets of Bledsoe and Morse, and a Radón product measure obtained by a Riesz ...
