ABSTRACT The Greek peninsula lies at the intersection of major atmospheric circulation systems, making it a key location for reconstructing past climate variability in the Eastern Mediterranean. In this study, we present a new high‐resolution multi‐proxy speleothem record from Hermes Cave, located on the shoulder of the Corinth Rift in southern Greece.

ABSTRACT Constraining Arctic catchment response to Holocene climate change is vital for understanding future environments. We present detailed sedimentological, geochemical and grain size end‐member analysis of two Holocene (~7.0 ka to present) lake sequences, S1 and S2, close to Zackenberg, Northeast Greenland.

ABSTRACT While competition with large carnivores is likely to have shaped Middle Paleolithic hominins' subsistence behavior, palimpsested human and carnivore accumulations render the signal challenging to isolate. This study presents a detailed zooarchaeological and taphonomic analysis of a non‐anthropogenic faunal assemblage from a MIS 5 (~130–80 ka ...

A Review of Rainfall Erosivity as a Natural Factor of Gully Erosion
In this 21st century which is climate change-driven with more extreme rainfall events, gully erosion is increasingly becoming a global environmental problem influenced by both natural and anthropogenic factors. This paper is a literature review of rainfall erosivity as one of the natural factors of gully erosion.

Estimation of rainfall erosivity in Piedmont (Northwestern Italy) by using 10-minute fixed-interval rainfall data [PDF]
Rainfall erosivity index (EI30) is widely used in soil erosion models for predicting soil loss. This index consists in the product between the maximum intensity of 30-min rainfall and the total kinetic energy of a precipitation event.

Is quinoa‐farming sustainable in marginal environments? Social, economical and environmental aspects
Abstract Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is an Andean grain crop introduced as a novel crop to many parts of the world in recent years. Recognized for nutritious seeds and high abiotic stress tolerance, it has been promoted as an element of climate‐resilient agriculture, particularly in marginal environments.

Precision Restoration to Minimize Soil Loss in a Watershed in the Atlantic Forest Domain
ABSTRACT The Turvo River Watershed, located in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais and part of the Doce River Basin, faces serious problems of erosion and soil degradation, which compromise and reduce the quality of local water resources. Given this scenario, it is essential to implement environmental recovery strategies that prioritize the ...
