STATISTICAL MODEL OF THE INTENSITY OF THE RAINFALL IN SHUMEN REGION
Journal scientific and applied research, 2013The report justifies the view that despite the apparent trend of warming and drought in recent years, there is an increasing frequency of extreme weather and climatic events (rainfall), which cause extensive damage to infrastructure and high costs to the economy and society.

Simplified Method for Rainfall Intensities
Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division, 1981Procedures are presented for estimating maximum rainfall amounts for 24 hours with a return period of 10 years from monthly and observation day measurements. Procedures are also presented for converting these values to other rainfall depth- duration amounts.

Kinetic energy and rainfall intensity relationships: A review
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019Although it is widely recognized how the knowledge of the kinetic energy (KE) of precipitation plays a fundamental role in soil erosion studies, its direct evaluation is not widespread. As a matter of facts, direct measurements of the kinetic energy of precipitation require the use of sophisticated and expensive tools.

Estimating rainfall intensity by using vehicles as sensors
2017 Wireless Days, 2017Vehicles are key elements in the envisioned Smart Cities, not only providing more efficient mobility, but also becoming mobile network elements able to perform many useful tasks. Environment sensing is a good example where the combination of data coming from vehicles allows achieving insight only comparable to the deployment of hundreds or thousands of

Effect of antecedent rainfall on runoff during low-intensity rainfall
Journal of Hydrology, 1986The objective of this study was to determine the relative significance of several rainfall characteristics to the occurrence and magnitude of runoff from small (< 300 ha) watersheds during very low-intensity rainstorms (maximum rainfall intensities < 15 mm/hr).

Regional rainfall intensity formulas based on scaling property of rainfall
Journal of Hydrology, 2004Abstract This work developed regional Intensity–Duration–Frequency (IDF) formulas for non-recording sites based on the scaling theory. Forty-six recording raingauges over northern Taiwan provide the data set for analysis. The temporal scaling properties of annual maximum rainfall series for various durations were first investigated. The hypothesis of
