Rainfall kinetic energy–intensity and rainfall momentum–intensity relationships for Cape Verde
Momentum and kinetic energy of rainfall are widely used indices to describe erosivity, the ability of rainfall to detach soil particles and erode the landscape. An optical laser disdrometer was installed in Santiago Island, Cape Verde, between September 2008 and September 2010 to measure rainfall intensity and size distribution of raindrops.

A method of deriving time-variant distributed unit hydrograph
In order to solve the nonlinear problem of runoff concentration caused by excess rainfall intensity,a method deriving time-variant distributed unit hydrograph (TVDUH) based on the SCS's velocity equation was presented in this paper.

Intensity-duration-frequency of maximum rainfall in Mato Grosso State
Intensive rainfall is an important meteorological variable that is of technical interest in hydraulic projects. This study therefore generated Intensity-Duration-Frequency equations (IDF) for 14 weather stations in Mato Grosso State, based on pluviograph

Impacts of the Madden-Julian oscillation on Australian rainfall and circulation [PDF]
Impacts of the Madden¿Julian oscillation (MJO) on Australian rainfall and circulation are examined during all four seasons. The authors examine circulation anomalies and a number of different rainfall metrics, each composited contemporaneously for eight ...
