Rainfall models for catchment simulation
Australasian Journal of Water Resources, 2005A catchment modelling system for simulation of both the quantity and quality of stormwater runoff can be considered to consist of four conceptual components, which are generation, collection, trans...

Development of a Mobile Rainfall Simulator
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013in order to solve the rainfall simulator single control operation currently used in the experiment of soil erosion. A mobile rainfall simulator was designed. The device adopts a rainfall simulator and Longmen mobile support integration mode, which is controllable and mobile and easy to move. The results show that the equipment is advanced in technology,

Rainfall Simulation in Flight View
International Journal of Digital Content Technology and its Applications, 2011An improvement is made to traditional particle system technology in rainfall simulation. In order to improve the authenticity and flexibility of rainfall simulation and speed up the rendering speed, the particle rotation, particle dynamic texture, dynamic color etc. are introduced. The structure of particles is simplified.

A Continuous-Application Rainfall Simulator
Transactions of the ASAE, 1985ABSTRACT A simple, inexpensive, continuous-application rainfall simulator was developed using air injected into a water conduit. The effect of injecting air was to maintain higher discharge pressures enabling better uniformity without increasing the rainfall intensity.

On the Simulation of Rainfall Based on the Characteristics of Fourier Spectrum of Rainfall
1994Design rainfall is usually determined by magnifying historical data to an amount corresponding to a certain return period. However, the spatial distribution of the precipitation is usually not considered in the design rainfall computation. With this point of view, in this paper we aim to discuss the spatial characteristics of rainfall.

Stochastic Simulation of Daily Rainfall
1975Abstract: The design of many water resources projects requires knowledge of possible long-term rainfall patterns. In this project a stochastic model based on a first order Markov chain was developed to simulate daily rainfall at a point. The model is applicable to any point in Kentucky (and other areas with similar rainfall patterns).

RAINFALL SIMULATOR FOR LABORATORY STUDIES
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 2000Numerous types of rainfall simulators have been used to study the fundamental behavior of sediment transfer and chemical movement in soil from rainfall. For results of these studies to be representative, it is essential that the artificial rainfall have characteristics similar to that of natural rainfall.

Journal of Hydrology, 2018
Abstract Rainfall event simulation can be very useful in many hydrological and hydraulic practices such as dam design. The aim of this study is to propose a new single-site stochastic model for generating daily rainfall events. The model has two components: Copula-based joint simulation of rainfall characteristics and rainfall temporal pattern ...

Technical report of a rainfall temperature control system for rainfall simulators
CATENA, 2018Abstract Rainfall Simulators are widely used in studies on soil erosion. Most of the rainfall simulators use water with tap or ambiance temperature. However, previous studies showed that soil erosion may increase or decrease by up to three times while raindrops temperature varied from 2 °C to 20 °C.
