Changes in Rainfall Pattern in Bengawan Solo Sub-Watershed
Rainfed farming is vulnerable to climate variability, which changes rainfall patterns. Rainfall variability disrupts rainfed rice cultivation because a change in rainfall will affect the rice crop calendar.

Seasonal Rainfall Variability over Southern Ghana
Rainfall variability has resulted in extreme events like devastating floods and droughts which is the main cause of human vulnerability to precipitation in West Africa. Attempts have been made by previous studies to understand rainfall variability over Ghana but these have mostly focused on the major rainy season of April-July, leaving a gap in our ...

Rainfall Variability along the Southern Flank of the Bambouto Mountain(West-Cameroon) [PDF]
This paper presents the rainfall variability along the southern flank of the Bambouto mountain. Data were collected from rain gauges, while spatial variability was estimated through daily recorded data. Monthly and annual data were used to draw isohyetes

Global Nitrogen Deposition Promotes Carbon Sink Formation in Terrestrial Ecosystems
Nitrogen deposition alleviates ecosystem N limitation and enhances carbon sinks. Using 829 observations, we show 36% of deposited N is retained globally (39.15 Tg N yr−1), with distinct NHx and NOy contributions. This retention drives a terrestrial C sink of 0.88 Pg C yr−1 (25.48%), highlighting the importance of pool‐specific C:N stoichiometry ...

Hydro-Climatic Variability: A Characterisation and Trend Study of the Awash River Basin, Ethiopia
The objective of this study was to characterize, quantify and validate the variability and trends of hydro-climatic variables in the Awash River Basin (ARB) in Ethiopia using graphical and statistical methods. The rainfall and streamflow trends and their

South Asian summer monsoon projections constrained by the Intedacadal Pacific Oscillation
A reliable projection of future South Asian summer monsoon (SASM) benefits a large population in Asia. Using a 100-member ensemble of simulations by the Max Planck Institute Earth System Model (MPI-ESM) and a 50-member ensemble of simulations by the ...
