Climate and rainfed wheat yield
Theoretical and Applied Climatology, 2021Planning for precision agriculture requires a better understanding of the plant’s response to climate. The economy of Qorveh, in Iran, is severely affected by wheat yield fluctuations. In this study, multivariate statistical methods were used to identify important climatic factors affecting rainfed wheat yield and to simulate yield variations based on ...

Abstract Rainfed cultivation is the most pervasive in areal expanse and the source of most production in the majority of the regions of the world, now and in the past. Pre-Hispanic Middle America was no exception (Palerm 1955, 1962; Price 1971; Sanders, Parsons, and Santley 1979).

Field experiments were conducted for two years (1982-1983) under rainfed conditions at Regional Research Station, Paiyur to identify the suitable intercrops. Lablab, redgram maize, sorghum, soybean and greengram as intercrops in ragi each at 4:1, 6:1 and 8:1 ratio was compared with pure crop of ragi.

Phenology in rainfed lowland rice
Field Crops Research, 1999This paper reviews the factors determining flowering time and phenology requirement in rainfed lowland rice. Recent developments in understanding of the temperature and photoperiod effects on flowering time of rice resulted in phenology models that can predict flowering time accurately in the irrigated field.

Chickpea Modeling Under Rainfed Conditions
2020Climate variability and extreme weather might increase in frequency due to climate change, which could have significant effect on chickpea production. Recently, a study was conducted, aided with simulation modeling approach, in different rainfed regions of Pakistan to check the potential impacts of climate variability on chickpea.
