Lower Glacial Oxygen in the Eastern Equatorial Pacific Concentrated in the Deep Sea

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
Abstract Oxygen in the global oceans has declined since the 1960s, including in the Eastern Equatorial Pacific (EEP). Reconstructions of EEP glacial oxygenation help advance understanding of current and projected ocean deoxygenation. Previous estimates of the glacial oxygen deficient zones (ODZs) in the upper EEP are poorly constrained. Here we include

Morning–Afternoon Asymmetry in Correlations Between the Equatorial Electrojet and Sq Westward Currents on Polar‐Side of the Focus

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract Equatorial electrojet (EEJ) and solar quiet (Sq) currents with one vortex each in either hemisphere are key components of the ionospheric dynamo currents, driving geomagnetic diurnal variations observed at Earth's surface. However, the physical coupling between EEJ and Sq westward currents on the polar side of the vortex focus remains poorly ...

Scalable, Bottom‐Up Synthesis of Transition Metal–Doped Quantum Confined, 1D Titanate‐Based Lepidocrocite Nanofilaments, Their Electronic Structures and Oxygen Evolution Reactivity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 3, 3 February 2026.
Quantum‐confined lepidocrocite titanate nanofilaments are doped, bottom‐up, with Mn+2, Fe+2, Co+2, Ni+2, and Cu+2 to tune electronic structure and catalysis. Doping narrows the bandgap—by up to ∼0.8 eV—and extends visible absorption. Ni‐doped filaments accelerate oxygen evolution (319 mV at 10 mA cm−2) and TM‐doped samples rapidly degrade rhodamine 6G (

A Stable Edge‐Aware GAN Approach for Data Augmentation and Privacy‐Preserving High‐Fidelity CT Synthesis

open access: yesApplied AI Letters, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
The framework addresses limitations of conventional GANs by integrating learnable edge kernels and interpolated skip connections with an edge‐aware discriminator, enabling stable training and improved anatomical fidelity. The resulting synthetic CT images exhibit sharper edges, higher realism, and strong diagnostic plausibility, supporting privacy ...

An LC–MS/MS Method for the Quantitation of Metabolites M9, M12, and M20 of Bexicaserin in Human Cerebrospinal Fluid

open access: yesBiomedical Chromatography, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The investigational molecule bexicaserin is a highly selective 5‐HT2C superagonist currently in Phase 3 clinical studies for the treatment of seizures associated with developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs). To facilitate its clinical development, a simple LC–MS/MS method was developed and validated for the quantitative estimation ...
