Weaving for action: Transformative change in biodiversity monitoring

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 8, Issue 5, Page 1007-1020, May 2026.
Abstract The Post‐2020 Kunming‐Montreal Biodiversity Framework aims to drive transformative change to halt biodiversity loss. To track progress toward its goals and targets, a dedicated monitoring framework has been established. The current biodiversity monitoring framework relies on a set of indicators developed through a unidirectional process of ...

Development and Preliminary Evaluation of a Machine Vision‐Guided Smart Sprayer Prototype Toward Precision Vegetable Weeding

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 3, Page 1973-1987, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Sustainable weed management necessitates herbicide‐reduced, precision weed control. Recent advancements in machine vision and artificial intelligence (AI) for weed recognition and localization have created new opportunities for high‐precision weeding. Although blanket spraying systems are widely used for weed removal, machine vision‐guided, AI‐

Effect of Adatom Energy on the Interfacial and Surface Morphology of Pulsed DC Sputtered Ruthenium Thin Films

open access: yesSurface and Interface Analysis, Volume 58, Issue 5, Page 326-333, May 2026.
ABSTRACT In the present study, we have analyzed the growth profile of ruthenium (Ru) thin films, deposited using pulsed direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering technique, by varying the sputtering voltages in the range of 150–420 V. The grazing incidence X‐ray reflectivity (GIXRR), time‐of‐flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF‐SIMS), and atomic ...

Microstructure analysis of low electron density contrast metallic multilayers using resonant X‐ray reflectivity

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 708-714, May 2026.
Resonant X‐ray reflectivity was employed to probe the interfaces of low electron density contrast metallic multilayers.Resonant X‐ray reflectivity (RXRR) was employed to investigate the microstructural properties, such as layer thicknesses, densities and interface widths, of metallic multilayers with low electron density contrast.

A systematic review on research trends and commercialised entomopathogenic nematodes: A global perspective

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 298-313, May 2026.
Out of 136 identified EPNs, only 18 (8 Steinernema and 6 Heterorhabditis) are commercialised globally, highlighting a major gap between discovery and application. High production costs and inconsistent field efficacy are the leading obstacles to the widespread commercialisation of EPN‐based biocontrol products.
