Orbital angular momentum impact on light scattering by phonons tested experimentally

open access: yesAPL Photonics
Polarized Raman spectra of piezoelectric bismuth germanate single crystal were recorded using vortex light in order to verify the predicted symmetry selection rules for Raman scattering of photons with nonzero orbital angular momentum.

Identification of mono-and few-layer graphene: Raman study

open access: yesMaterials and Devices, 2018
In this theoretical work, the Raman spectra were analyzed by considering the origin of the G peak, its shape, position and relative intensity as a function of the number of graphene layers. By using the spectral moment’s method, the Raman spectra of mono,

Introducing the Novel Mixed Gaussian-Lorentzian Lineshape in the Analysis of the Raman Signal of Biochar

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
In this research, an innovative procedure is proposed to elaborate Raman spectra obtained from nanostructured and disordered solids. As a challenging case study, biochar, a bio-derived carbon based material, was selected. The complex structure of biochar

Transparent Inorganic–Organic Bilayer Neural Electrode Array and Integration to Miniscope System for In Vivo Calcium Imaging and Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents the BioCLEAR system, a highly transparent and conductive neural electrode array composed of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and doped PEDOT:PSS, enabling neural recordings with minimal optical artifacts. When integrated with a GRIN lens, this cost‐effective neural implant allows simultaneous electrophysiological recording and GCaMP6‐based ...

Tunable Coordination Number in Non‐Metal‐Introduced Copper Catalysts Enables High‐Performance Electrochemical CO2 Reduction to C2 Products

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Copper catalysts introduced with different non‐metallic elements regulating the coordination number of Cu are prepared by magnetron sputtering. Reducing the Cu coordination number enhances C─C coupling and boosts C2+ product selectivity, by lowering the energy barrier for the *CO → *CHO conversion step. The optimized Si‐doped Cu catalyst achieves a C2+

Advancing living Bacillus spore identification: Multi-head self-attention mechanism-enabled deep learning combined with single-cell Raman spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences
Many spore-forming Bacillus species can cause serious human diseases, because of accidental Bacillus spore infection. Thus, developing an identification strategy with both high sensitivity and specificity is greatly in demand. In this work, we proposed a

Defect‐Mediated Scintillation in Fully Inorganic Perovskites via Water‐Induced 0D/3D Phase Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Effect of impurities on the Raman scattering of 6H-SiC crystals

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2012
Raman spectroscopy was applied to different-impurities-doped 6H-SiC crystals. It had been found that the first-order Raman spectra of N-, Al- and B-doped 6H-SiC were shifted to higher frequency when comparing with undoped samples.
