Cement-based cementitious materials present an alkaline environment and mainly exist in the form of Ca(OH)2. Phosphogypsum, as a retarder of cementitious materials, is often added to cement instead of gypsum, and the fluorine by-product of phosphogypsum ...

Raman Spectrum of Diamond [PDF]
In the course of an examination of the infra-red and ultra-violet regions of the spectrum of a large number of diamonds, we have come across one which, unlike the others, is transparent both at about 8μ, and also in the ultra-violet so far out as λ2300.

High-Resolution Near-Field Raman Microscopy of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]
We present near-field Raman spectroscopy and imaging of single isolated single-walled carbon nanotubes with a spatial resolution of ≈25 nm. The near-field origin of the image contrast is confirmed by the measured dependence of the Raman scattering ...

Low Temperature Raman Spectra of Dichlorosulfane (SC12), Tetrachlorosulfurane (SC14), Dichlorodisulfane (S2C12) and Dichlorodiselane (Se2Cl2) [1] [PDF]
The Raman spectrum of commercial "sulfur dichloride" shows strong lines due to SCl2 and S2Cl2 and weak Cl2 lines at 25 °C, but strong SCl2 and SCl4 signals at -100 °C (the latter are superimposed on the S2Cl2 lines).

We present new measurements of the optical mode frequencies in AgGaS2, and suggest reasons why previous determinations are in error. The results indicate that AgGaS2 cannot be regarded as a small perturbation of a zincblende structure, but they are in accord with the predictions of a recent model calculation by Bettini.

Raman spectra of zinc phthalocyanine monolayers adsorbed on glassy carbon and gold electrodes by application of a confocal Raman microspectrometer [PDF]
Raman spectra of zinc phthalocyanine monolayers, adsorbed on gold and on glassy carbon surfaces (electrodes), are presented. These spectra have been recorded with the electrodes inside and outside an electrochemical cell filled with an aqueous ...

Influence of Raman Spectroscopy Test Conditions on the Results of Carbon Chemical Structure of Chars
To address the problem of variability in in situ Raman spectroscopy for determining the chemical structure of chars, the rationality of Raman’s original peak spectrum fitting method, the influence of objective lens magnification, particle size, and ...

Raman spectroscopy of iodine-doped double-walled carbon nanotubes [PDF]
We present a Raman spectroscopy study of iodine-intercalated (p-type-doped) double-walled carbon nanotubes. Double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs) are synthesized by catalytic chemical vapor deposition and characterized by Raman spectroscopy.

Stimulated Raman lineshapes in the large light–matter interaction limit
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) represents a powerful tool for accessing the vibrational properties of molecular compounds or solid state systems. From a spectroscopic perspective, SRS is able to capture Raman spectra free from incoherent background ...
