Numerical analysis of a hybridized discontinuous Galerkin method for the Cahn-Hilliard problem [PDF]
The mixed form of the Cahn-Hilliard equations is discretized by the hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin method. For any chemical energy density, existence and uniqueness of the numerical solution is obtained. The scheme is proved to be unconditionally stable.

Optimization with genetic algorithms of chlorogenic acid's extraction and purification from native potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) peel, using an aqueous two-phase system [PDF]
Chlorogenic acid is one of the main phenolic components of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.). Researchers have demonstrated that this phenolic compound is a higher concentration in the native Huagalina potato peel and is also found in the whole tuber's ...

Abstract Wild plant consumption confronts a decline in terms of natural resources, traditional knowledge and mainstream engagement, despite efforts to integrate it into global diets. However, migrants, whose culinary traditions and lifestyle are often grounded in foraging practices, represent an underexplored resource in this regard.

Unveiling Innovative Approaches to Mitigate Metals/Metalloids Toxicity for Sustainable Agriculture
Abstract Due to anthropogenic activities, environmental pollution of heavy metals/metalloids (HMs) has increased and received growing attention in recent decades. Plants growing in HM‐contaminated soils have slower growth and development, resulting in lower agricultural yield. Exposure to HMs leads to the generation of free radicals (oxidative stress),

Seeds of Success: Collateral Benefits to Agricultural Crop Improvement, Research, and Education
ABSTRACT The need to restore natural landscapes impacted by environmental perturbations such as wildfires, and droughts, gave rise to Seeds of Success (SOS), a collaborative effort led by the Bureau of Land Management to collect seed of US wild native species since 2001.
