Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Cob, a vernacular earth construction process in the context of modern sustainable building [PDF]
The will of reducing environmental and social impact of building industry has led to a renewed interest in earth construction. Most of earth construction literature dealt with rammed earth or adobe techniques, but very little with cob.

Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

Intrinsic Hydrophobicity of Rammed Earth
Rammed earth is well known for its vapour diffusion properties, its ability to regulate humidity within the built environment. Rammed earth is also an aesthetically iconic material such as marble or granite and therefore is preferably left exposed. However exposed rammed earth is often coated with silane/siloxane water repellents or the structure is ...

Ductility Tuning via Cluster Network Characteristics of Porous Components
Network optimization via cluster characteristics induced by interaction of stress concentration is proposed, demonstrating increased cluster size and dispersion in non‐uniform porous components. The optimized structures exhibit, for the first time, that enhanced ductility and damage progression is controllable through zigzag cluster network designed by

A procedure to measure the in-situ hygrothermal behavior of earth walls [PDF]
Rammed earth is a sustainable material with low embodied energy. However, its development as a building material requires a better evaluation of its moisture-thermal buffering abilities and its mechanical behavior.

Hierarchically microarchitected PLA/S/CNT cathodes are fabricated via scalable fused filament 3D printing as high‐sulfur‐loading hosts for rechargeable lithium–sulfur batteries. The assembled Li–S cells with sulfur loadings up to 17 mg cm−2 deliver an areal capacity of 9.2 mAh cm−2 and retain 96% of their discharge capacity after 100 charge–discharge ...
