Accurate Identification of Protein Binding Sites for All Drug Modalities Using ALLSites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ALLSites is a unified sequence‐based framework for identifying proteome‐wide binding sites across all drug modalities. It integrates a gated convolutional network with a transformer architecture to capture residue interactions directly from the sequence.

Improved Vertical Load Carrying Capacity and Deformation Performance of Rammed Earth Houses With Agave Bagasse Fibers From the Tequila Industry

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
Earthen constructions are represented mainly by adobe structures and rammed earth, their presence in high seismic zones has demonstrated that this material may exhibit a brittle collapse due to the low resistance of the component materials and induced ...

Comparative Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas Reveals the Genetic Regulation of Reproductive Traits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cross‐species single‐cell transcriptomic atlas of reproductive and central nervous system tissues from sheep and humans reveals conserved cellular programs and regulatory networks that regulated fertility. Integration with GWAS for sheep lifetime average litter size identifies UNC5–SLIT–BMP signaling as a core pathway coordinating neuroendocrine ...

Study of indoor performances of a building using Rammed earth

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Nowadays, many assumptions hold that returning to rammed earth construction could be a solution to the energy challenges of the time. These assumptions are based on the ability of the material to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature regardless of ...

Embodied Energy of Stabilized Rammed Earth [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Research, 2013
The paper references a number of sources to create a compact account of the intrinsic energy, physical parameters and subsequent thermal potential of rammed earth that has been stabilized with Portland cement. The aim of this article is to show that a lower embodied energy does not necessarily reduce thermal comfort if careful consideration is given to

AI‐Based D‐Amino Acid Substitution for Optimizing Antimicrobial Peptides to Treat Multidrug‐Resistant Bacterial Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first D‐amino acid antimicrobial peptide dataset and developed an AI model for efficient screening of substitution sites, with 80% of candidate peptides showing enhanced activity. The lead peptide dR2‐1 demonstrated potent antimicrobial activity in vitro and in vivo, high stability, and low toxicity.

Surface Treatment of Rammed Earth Heritage Sites Using MICP Technology: An Investigation of Rainwater Erosion Resistance via Indoor Experiments and In Situ Testing

open access: yesGeofluids
Rammed earth, a commonly used building material in ancient times, differs from natural sedimentary layers in that it is more compact. Buildings constructed from historical rammed earth sites frequently encounter the issue of rainwater erosion ...

WATER ABSORPTION CAPACITY COEFFICIENT AND MASS MOISTURE OF RAMMED EARTH MATERIAL

open access: yesActa Polytechnica CTU Proceedings, 2017
This article presents the development of mass moisture of rammed earth material and determines the water absorption capacity coefficient for rammed earth with illite-kaoline clay. Specimens of two prescriptions were rammed in the moulds.
