112 lines on smooth quartic surfaces (characteristic 3)
Over a field k of characteristic 3, we prove that there are no smooth quartic surfaces S in IP^3 with more than 112 lines. Moreover, the surface with 112 lines is projectively equivalent over k-bar to the Fermat quartic.

A reduction in long-term spatial memory persists after discontinuation of peripubertal GnRH agonist treatment in sheep [PDF]
Chronic gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) administration is used where suppression of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis activity is beneficial, such as steroid-dependent cancers, early onset gender dysphoria, central precocious puberty and

Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

Multifractal analysis of some multiple ergodic averages for the systems with non-constant Lyapunov exponents [PDF]
We study certain multiple ergodic averages of an iterated functions system generated by two contractions on the unit interval. By using the dynamical coding ${0,1}^{\mathbb{N}}$ of the attractor, we compute the Hausdorff dimension of the set of points ...

We study a construction, which produces surfaces $Y \subset P_3$ with cusps. For example we obtain surfaces of degree six with 18, 24 or 27 three-divisible cusps.

Numerical Modeling of Tank Cars Carrying Hazardous Materials With and Without Composite Metal Foam
Large‐scale puncture models consisting of hazardous materials (HAZMATs) tank car with protective steel–steel composite metal foam (S–S CMF) are solved numerically. Tank car plate with added 10.91–13.33 mm thick S–S CMF layer does not puncture. Protective S–S CMF absorbs impact energy, reduces plate deformation, and prevents shear bands formation ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries
