New Results From the Pre‐Pottery Neolithic Site of Al Uyaynah, Tabuk, in Northwestern Saudi Arabia
ABSTRACT Al Uyaynah is a low sandstone mound on an alluvial plain, long known for its extensive surface remains of stone‐built circular and rectangular structures. Following test excavations in 2012, more detailed excavation was undertaken in 2016 within one of the largest rectangular stone structures.

Size Ramsey numbers involving stars
We calculate some size Ramsey numbers involving stars. For example we prove that for t ⩾ k ⩾ 2 and n sufficiently large the size Ramsey number. rn(K1,kK t+Kn=k(t−1)+12+(k(t−1)+1)(n+k−1)

Field‐level crop choice responses to weather‐induced yield shocks in the US Corn Belt
Abstract As climate change increases the frequency and severity of extreme heat events, farmers are expected to face greater variability in crop yields. Using 10 million field‐level observations, this study examines how farmers in the US Corn Belt adjust corn–soybean rotation decisions in response to yield shocks largely driven by weather fluctuations.

Theories of Interest and Their Relation to the Gesell–Keynes Theory
ABSTRACT We consider theories of interest as they relate to what we will call the Gesell‐Keynes (GK) theory which is essentially a real theory of capital accumulation with a monetary constraint that arises because of a liquidity return on holding money.

An easy upper bound for Ramsey numbers
This paper contains no new results but presents a slight simplification of the standard proof by Erdos-Szekeres for Ramsey numbers. The main tool is a new (to my knowledge) variation of Ramsey numbers which is perhaps of independent interest. We prove ...

Planar Ramsey numbers for cycles
For two given graphs G and H the planar Ramsey number PR(G,H) is the smallest integer n such that every planar graph F on n vertices either contains a copy of G or its complement contains a copy H.

Abstract Soils that contain swelling clay minerals (e.g., montmorillonite) expand and contract during wetting and drying, causing movement within the soil profile. This process, known as argilliturbation, can alter artefact distributions, destroy stratigraphy and complicate the interpretation of archaeological deposits.

Computing and estimating ordered Ramsey numbers
We study ordered Ramsey numbers, which are an analogue of the classical Ramsey numbers for ordered graphs. We improve some already obtained results for a special class of ordered matchings and disprove a conjecture of Rohatgi.

ABSTRACT Ten timbers from the spire scaffold of Salisbury Cathedral were dated using a combination of ring‐width dendrochronology, stable oxygen isotopic dendrochronology and radiocarbon dating. Seven timbers were coeval and assigned a combined empirical felling date range of 1352–1378, which was further refined to 1351–1359 (OxCal 95.4%).
