Environmental DNA, Volume 7, Issue 3, May–June 2025.We present 125 eDNA quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assays against animal species of importance to North America. We show how these assays were designed and validated to comply with the Canadian national eDNA standards to allow confident eDNA detection for coastal and inland ecological surveys and biosurveillance.

Perichordal Vertebral Column Formation in Rana kobai
Journal of Morphology, Volume 286, Issue 4, April 2025.In contrast to the previous study, centrum formation begins with a pair of ossification centers at the base of neural arches in Rana. At the early stage of intervertebral disc formation, a wedge‐like cartilage domain is observed posteroventral to the centrum. Evolutionary implications are discussed based on these observations.
