Random attractor for a stochastic viscous coupled Camassa-Holm equation

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we study the asymptotic dynamics of the stochastic viscous coupled Camassa-Holm equation with periodic boundary condition. We investigate the existence of a random attractor for the dynamical system associated with the equation. The random

Patient Selection in Deep Brain Stimulation: A Role for Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation to Enhance the Levodopa Challenge?

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dopaminergic medication and deep brain stimulation (DBS) improve motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD), but levodopa response alone may not predict DBS outcomes. We retrospectively analyzed 19 PD patients undergoing levodopa challenges with and without prior transcranial direct current stimulation targeting a defined PD response network ...

Precision‐Optimised Post‐Stroke Prognoses

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Current medicine cannot confidently predict who will recover from post‐stroke impairments. Researchers have sought to bridge this gap by treating the post‐stroke prognostic problem as a machine learning problem, reporting prediction error metrics across samples of patients whose outcomes are known.

The Origin of Non-chaotic Behavior in Identically Driven Systems

open access: yes, 1995
Recently it has been found that different physical systems driven by identical random noise behave exactly identical after a long time. It is also suggested that this is an outcome of finite precision in numerical experiments.

Connectedness of random set attractors [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We examine the question whether random set attractors for continuous-time random dynamical systems on a connected state space are connected. In the deterministic case, these attractors are known to be connected. In the probabilistic setup, however, connectedness has only been shown under stronger connectedness assumptions on the state space.

American College of Rheumatology Guidance Statements for Addressing Mental Health Concerns in Youth With Pediatric Rheumatologic Diseases

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Pediatric rheumatologic diseases (PRDs) are characterized by high rates of anxiety and depression known to impact health‐related outcomes. We present guidance statements to assess and manage mental health concerns for youth with PRDs in pediatric rheumatology practice.

A Stochastic Weakly Damped, Forced KdV-BO Equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We investigate the long time behavior of the damped, forced KdV-BO equation driven by white noise. We first show that the global solution generates a random dynamical system.

Barriers and Facilitators for Implementing Resilience Coaching for Youth With Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain: Pediatric Rheumatologists’ Perspectives

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Promoting Resilience in Stress Management (PRISM) is a resilience coaching program designed for adolescents with chronic illness. We aimed to examine the perceived feasibility, acceptability, and appropriateness of PRISM among pediatric rheumatologists treating adolescents with chronic musculoskeletal pain and obtain recommendations for ...

Long Term Behavior for a Class of Stochastic Delay Lattice Systems in Xρ Space

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2020
In this paper, we focus on the asymptotic behavior of solutions to stochastic delay lattice equations with additive noise and deterministic forcing. We first show the existence of a continuous random dynamical system for the equations.

Random Delta-Hausdorff-attractors [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Global random attractors and random point attractors for random dynamical systems have been studied for several decades. Here we introduce two intermediate concepts: $\Delta$-attractors are characterized by attracting all deterministic compact sets of Hausdorff dimension at most $\Delta$, where $\Delta$ is a non-negative number, while cc-attractors ...
