Switchable multi-wavelength random distributed feedback fiber laser
Optik, 2019A novel switchable multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser based on random distributed feedback is demonstrated in this paper. Based on loop mirror to form a half-opened laser cavity, typical random laser radiation is achieved with an obvious threshold

Fiber lasers with regular and random distributed feedback
Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2021, 2021We review our recent results on fiber lasers with distributed feedback based on π-shifted or random fiber Bragg gratings, and random index structures inscribed by femtosecond pulses in singlemode or multicore/multimode fibers.

Tunable multi-wavelength random distributed feedback fiber laser based on dual-pass MZI
Optics Letters, 2021This Letter presents what we believe is the first experimental study of frequency doubling of a Raman fiber laser (RFL) with random distributed feedback (RDFB) in an MgO:PPLN crystal. We compared two laser configurations, each with a half-open cavity. The cavity contained either a broadband Sagnac mirror or a narrowband fiber Bragg grating (FBG).

Poisson distribution of extreme events in radiation of random distributed feedback fiber laser.
Optics Letters, 2020In the present Letter, we experimentally investigate extreme events in the time dynamics of the random distributed feedback fiber laser. We find that the probability of extreme events depends on the wavelength of the generated light.

Random distributed feedback fiber laser at 21 μm
Optics Letters, 2016We demonstrate a random distributed feedback fiber laser at 2.1 μm. A high-power pulsed Tm-doped fiber laser operating at 1.94 μm with a temporal duty ratio of 30% was employed as a pump laser to increase the equivalent incident pump power. A piece of 150 m highly GeO2-doped silica fiber that provides a strong Raman gain and random distributed ...

ROGUE-based, random distributed feedback lasers (Conference Presentation)
Fiber Lasers XVII: Technology and Systems, 2020In this work, we show that the enhanced backscatter originating from the recently discovered ROGUE (Random Optical Grating by Ultraviolet or ultrafast laser Exposure) increases the performance of random distributed feedback lasers.

Ultrafast Raman fiber Laser with Random Distributed Feedback
Laser & Photonics Reviews, 2018AbstractUltrafast Raman fiber lasers are wavelength‐agile light sources for various scientific and medical applications. Pulse pumping is an efficient way to generate a high power ultrafast Raman fiber laser, which however requires real‐time synchronization between the pump pulses and laser cavity.

Intensity dynamics and statistical properties of random distributed feedback fiber laser
Optics Letters, 2015We present first experimental investigation of fast-intensity dynamics of random distributed feedback (DFB) fiber lasers. We found that the laser dynamics are stochastic on a short time scale and exhibit pronounced fluctuations including generation of extreme events.
