Dynamic random walks: theory and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The aim of this book is to report on the progress realized in probability theory in the field of dynamic random walks and to present applications in computer science, mathematical physics and finance. Each chapter contains didactical material as well as

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

Random Responses of Shield Tunnel to New Tunnel Undercrossing Considering Spatial Variability of Soil Elastic Modulus

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This paper investigates the effect of spatial variability of soil elastic modulus on the longitudinal responses of the existing shield tunnel to the new tunnel undercrossing using a random two-stage analysis method (RTSAM).

Gibbs Random Fields and Markov Random Fields with Constraints

open access: yes, 2016
It was shown many times in the literature that a Markov random field is equivalent to a Gibbs random field when all realizations of the field have non-zero probabilities; the proofs are rather complicated. A simpler proof, which is based directly on simple probability theory, is presented.

Spatial and Volumetric Characteristics of Glioblastoma: Associations With Clinical Presentation and Survival

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.

Efficient and conservative estimation reliability analysis of strip footing on spatially variable c - ϕ soil using random finite element limit analysis

open access: yesStudia Geotechnica et Mechanica
The study deals with reliability analysis of strip foundation on spatially variable c - ϕ soil. The spatial variability of soil strength parameters, namely cohesion c and friction angle ϕ is modelled using anisotropic uncorrelated random fields ...
