Experimental phase diagram for random laser spectra [PDF]
We systematically study the presence of narrow spectral features in a wide variety of random laser samples. Less gain or stronger scattering are shown to lead to a crossover from spiky to smooth spectra. A decomposition of random laser spectra into a set

Perovskite Random Lasers, Process and Prospects
Random lasers (RLs) are a kind of coherent light source with optical feedback based on disorder-induced multiple scattering effects instead of a specific cavity. The unique feedback mechanism makes RLs different from conventional lasers.

A random narrow-linewidth lasing at a wavelength of 976 nm was obtained in an ytterbium-doped germanophosphosilicate fiber with an array of weakly reflecting fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). A random laser cavity was formed by implementing the standard phase

In conventional lasers, the optical cavity that confines the photons also determines essential characteristics of the lasing modes such as wavelength, emission pattern, ... In random lasers, which do not have mirrors or a well-defined cavity, light is confined within the gain medium by means of multiple scattering.

Transition from amplified spontaneous emission to laser action in disordered media of R6G dye and TiO2 nanoparticles doped with PMMA polymer [PDF]
A random laser (RL) based on organic Rhodamine 6G (R6G) laser-dye and TiO2 suspended nanoparticles have been prepared with poly-methylmethacrylate (PMMA) as a host.

Angular Spectra Tunable Random Lasing for High Contrast Imaging
Random lasers with low spatial coherence have important potential applications in speckle‐free imaging and displaying. Here, an angular spectra (AS) tunable random laser is proposed through directly coupling a microcavity with a commercial optical fiber.

Photosensitive Yb-Doped Germanophosphosilicate Artificial Rayleigh Fibers as a Base of Random Lasers
Asingle-mode Yb-doped germanophosphosilicate fiber with ultra-low optical losses (less than 2 dB/km) was fabricated by means of the MCVD method utilizing an all-gas-phase deposition technique developed “in house”.

A glassy model for random lasers [PDF]
We report oil a recent model introduced to describe the behaviour Of light in a nonlinear active random medium, i.e., laser. The emitted radiation is described by I disordered mean-field Hamiltonian for the phases of the complex amplitudes of the electromagnetic field modes. Using the replica trick the thermodynamics can be exactly solved.
