On enhancing the random linear network coding
2011 17th IEEE International Conference on Networks, 2011Network coding is a promising technology which allows coding of multiple packets in routers. Random linear network coding (RLNC), a distributed network coding scheme, insists each node to forward independent random linear combinations of incoming packets through its outgoing links.

A secure algorithm for Random Linear Network Coding
2020 IEEE 5th International Symposium on Smart and Wireless Systems within the Conferences on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS-SWS), 2020Random Linear Network Coding has been first introduced as a tool to maximize information flow across a network. This paradigm has been later proven to possess inherent weak security that arises from packet mixing. Motivated by this observation, an algorithm for secure data transmission using Random Linear Network Coding is proposed in this paper.

Downloader-Initiated Random Linear Network Coding for Peer-to-Peer File Sharing
Network coding has recently drawn tremendous attention. Applying network coding to Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing is still a relatively new area of study.

Network Resources Optimization for Random Linear Network Coding
2010 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2010In a multisource multicast network using random linear network coding, only the lower bounds on the decoding probability, the probability that all receivers can decode all source processes, have been known. We obtained new topology-independent and topology-dependent upper bounds on the decoding probability by using a simple counting argument.

On the Delay Distribution of Random Linear Network Coding
IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 2011A fundamental understanding of the delay behavior of network coding is key towards its successful application in real-time applications with strict message deadlines. Previous contributions focused mostly on the average decoding delay, which although useful in various scenarios of interest is not sufficient for providing worst-case delay guarantees. To

Geometric Random Linear Codes in Sensor Networks
2008 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2008Wireless sensor networks consist of unreliable and energy-constrained sensors connecting to each other wirelessly. As measured data may be lost due to sensor failures, maintaining the persistence of periodically measured data in a scalable fashion has become a critical challenge in sensor networks, without the use of centralized servers.

Sparse Random Linear Network Coding With Precoded Band Codes
IEEE Communications Letters, 2017This letter proposes a sparse network code based on band matrices for lossy networks. The proposed code is precoded, has no wrap-around, and allows only a limited number of bands. Compared with existing works, the code simplifies decoding, enables more flexible recoding, and is able to significantly reduce the reception overhead that might be caused by

Rank metric convolutional codes for Random Linear Network Coding
2012 International Symposium on Network Coding (NetCod), 2012Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC) currently attracts a lot of attention as a technique to disseminate information in a network. In this contribution, non-coherent multi-shot RLNC is considered, that means, the unknown and time variant network is used several times.

Performance analysis of LTE networks with random linear network coding
2016 39th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2016Random Linear Network coding (RLNC) has emerged as a promising solution for reliable multimedia delivery over mobile cellular networks. In this paper, we deploy Application Layer-RLNC (AL-RLNC) on the top of the existing Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) in 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks.

An opportunistic random linear network coding scheme in wireless networks
2016 13th IEEE Annual Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC), 2016In wireless broadcast environments, a system performance can be improved with random linear network coding (RLNC). In RLNC, a source transmits a set of coding coefficients and a coded packet together. The coded packet is a combination of the coding coefficients and uncoded packets.
