Minimum-Energy Multicast Using Random Linear Network Coding

2011 Seventh International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks, 2011
Conventional routing ways of wireless multicast advantage application in reduce energy consumption is generally used to establish a "minimum-energy multicast tree" to achieve the minimum energy multicast. However, the problem of constructing a minimum-energy multicast tree in a wireless ad hoc network is NP-hard.

Training overhead for decoding random linear network codes

MILCOM 2008 - 2008 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2008
We consider multicast communications from a single source to multiple destinations over a network of erasure channels. Linear network coding maximizes the achievable (min-cut) rate, and a distributed code assignment can be realized by choosing codes randomly at the intermediate nodes.

An opportunistic random linear network coding scheme in wireless networks

2016 13th IEEE Annual Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC), 2016
In wireless broadcast environments, a system performance can be improved with random linear network coding (RLNC). In RLNC, a source transmits a set of coding coefficients and a coded packet together. The coded packet is a combination of the coding coefficients and uncoded packets.

Random Linear Network Coding with Cooperating in Wireless Sensor Network

2011 7th International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2011
In order to improve the throughput and transmission reliability in wireless sensor network with limited resources, multicast network coding technology is imported in. On this basis, through random linear network coding by nodes' cooperation to make improvement in delayed and expense. The simulation results show that the transmission, to the opportunity

Performance analysis of LTE networks with random linear network coding

2016 39th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2016
Random Linear Network coding (RLNC) has emerged as a promising solution for reliable multimedia delivery over mobile cellular networks. In this paper, we deploy Application Layer-RLNC (AL-RLNC) on the top of the existing Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) in 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks.

Latency performance of encoding with random linear network coding

2018
In this paper, we present a performance study of the impact of generation and symbol sizes on latency for encoding with Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC). This analysis is important for low latency applications of RLNC as well as data storage applications that use large blocks of data, where the encoding process can be parallelized based on system ...
