Localized Dimension Growth in Random Network Coding: A Convolutional Approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We propose an efficient Adaptive Random Convolutional Network Coding (ARCNC) algorithm to address the issue of field size in random network coding. ARCNC operates as a convolutional code, with the coefficients of local encoding kernels chosen randomly ...

Practical Random Linear Network Coding on GPUs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Recently, random linear network coding has been widely applied in peer-to-peer network applications. Instead of sharing the raw data with each other, peers in the network produce and send encoded data to each other. As a result, the communication protocols have been greatly simplified, and the applications experience higher end-to-end throughput and ...

Random Linear Network Coding in NOMA Optical Wireless Networks

open access: yes, 2022
Optical wireless communication (OWC) has the potential to provide high communication speeds that support the massive use of the Internet that is expected in the near future. In OWC, optical access points (APs) are deployed on the celling to serve multiple users.

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Distributed Intrusion Detection of Byzantine Attacks in Wireless Networks with Random Linear Network Coding

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2012
Network coding (NC) can be applied to achieve the maximal information flow in a network. In energy-constraint wireless networks such as wireless sensor networks, applying NC can further reduce the number of wireless transmissions and hence prolong the ...

PACE: Redundancy Engineering in RLNC for Low-Latency Communication

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Random linear network coding (RLNC) is attractive for data transfer as well as data storage and retrieval in complex and unreliable settings. The existing systematic RLNC approach first sends all source symbols in a generation without encoding followed ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
