Random Matrix Theory Approach to Chaotic Coherent Perfect Absorbers. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2017
We employ random matrix theory in order to investigate coherent perfect absorption (CPA) in lossy systems with complex internal dynamics. The loss strength γ_{CPA} and energy E_{CPA}, for which a CPA occurs, are expressed in terms of the eigenmodes of ...

B cell mechanobiology in health and disease: emerging techniques and insights into therapeutic responses

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
B cells sense external mechanical forces and convert them into biochemical signals through mechanotransduction. Understanding how malignant B cells respond to physical stimuli represents a groundbreaking area of research. This review examines the key mechano‐related molecules and pathways in B lymphocytes, highlights the most relevant techniques to ...

Random access-random release relay switching matrix [PDF]

open access: yes, 1968
XY relay switching matrix provides complete random access and random release of 400 points. A mercury-wetted bistable relay with independent set and reset coils is the unique feature associated with each ...

A random matrix model of relaxation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 2004
We consider a two level system, $\mathcal{S}_{2}$, coupled to a general $n$ level system, $\mathcal{S}_{n}$, via a random matrix. We derive an integral representation for the mean reduced density matrix $ (t)$ of $\mathcal{S}_{2}$ in the limit $n\to \infty $, and we identify a model of $\mathcal{S}_{n}$ which possesses some of the properties expected

Circulating histones as clinical biomarkers in critically ill conditions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circulating histones are emerging as promising biomarkers in critical illness due to their diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic potential. Detection methods such as ELISA and mass spectrometry provide reliable approaches for quantifying histone levels in plasma samples.

Singular random matrix decompositions: distributions. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Assuming that Y has a singular matrix variate elliptically contoured distribution with respect to the Hausdorff measure, the distributions of several matrices associated to QR, modified QR, SV and Polar decompositions of matrix Y are determined, for ...

C‐mannosylation promotes ADAMTS1 activation and secretion in human testicular germ cell tumor NEC8 cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
C‐mannosylation is a unique form of protein glycosylation. In this study, we demonstrated that ADAMTS1 is C‐mannosylated at Trp562 and Trp565 in human testicular germ cell tumor NEC8 cells. We found that C‐mannosylation of ADAMTS1 is essential for its secretion, processing, enzymatic activity, and ability to promote vasculogenic mimicry. These findings

On the matrix range of random matrices

open access: yesJournal of Operator Theory, 2021
This note treats a simple minded question: \textit{what does a typical random matrix range look like?} We study the relationship between various modes of convergence for tuples of operators on the one hand, and continuity of matrix ranges with respect to the Hausdorff metric on the other.

From non-ergodic eigenvectors to local resolvent statistics and back: A random matrix perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We study the statistics of the local resolvent and non-ergodic properties of eigenvectors for a generalised Rosenzweig-Porter random matrix model, undergoing two transitions separated by a delocalised non-ergodic phase.

A Big Data Architecture Design for Smart Grids Based on Random Matrix Theory [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, 2015
Model-based analysis tools, built on assumptions and simplifications, are difficult to handle smart grids with data characterized by volume, velocity, variety, and veracity (i.e., 4Vs data).
