Sieving random iterative function systems
It is known that backward iterations of independent copies of a contractive random Lipschitz function converge almost surely under mild assumptions. By a sieving (or thinning) procedure based on adding to the functions time and space components, it is ...

Introduction: This article addresses the provision of rehabilitation services for torture victims with a refugee background in Norway. It engages the topic from the outset of relevant rehabilitation rights and duties, presenting the organisation of rehabilitation services within the Norwegian health care system, and exploring the challenges and ...

Quasi-random numbers in some statistical systems
There are many ways to get random numbers. Some methods include making hardware devices that generate noise, observing cosmic ray flux and etc. Pseudo-random numbers come from mathematical functions and algorithms that provides such numbers called ...

Chaos and high temperature pure state thermalization
Classical arguments for thermalization of isolated systems do not apply in a straightforward way to the quantum case. Recently, there has been interest in diagnostics of quantum chaos in many-body systems.

Random periodic solutions of random dynamical systems
In this paper, we give the definition of the random periodic solutions of random dynamical systems. We prove the existence of such periodic solutions for a $C^1$ perfect cocycle on a cylinder using a random invariant set, the Lyapunov exponents and the pullback of the cocycle.

Quantifying scrambling in quantum neural networks
We quantify the role of scrambling in quantum machine learning. We characterize a quantum neural network’s (QNNs) error in terms of the network’s scrambling properties via the out-of-time-ordered correlator (OTOC).

RANDOM DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS IN ECONOMICS [PDF]
This paper surveys recent advances in the application of random dynamical systems theory in economics. It illustrates the usefulness of this framework for modeling and analysis of economic phenomena with stochastic components, mainly focusing on stochastic dynamic models of economic growth.

Hayden-Preskill decoding from noisy Hawking radiation
In the Hayden-Preskill thought experiment, the Hawking radiation emitted before a quantum state is thrown into the black hole is used along with the radiation collected later for the purpose of decoding the quantum state.

Abstract Real materials always contain randomness or disorder that cannot be expressed by idealized simple model systems. The present chapter studies the effects of randomness on phase transitions and critical phenomena. Although randomness may seem to obscure singular behaviour such as divergence of physical quantities at the critical ...
