Ultra‐Improved Interfacial Strength Between Metallic Surface and Polyurethane via Cost‐Effective Anodizing Process

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
SAA significantly enhanced Al/PU bonding, increasing SLSS by up to 920% and fracture energy by 15 100% through optimized micro‐nano porous surfaces. RSM identified the optimal anodizing conditions, while ML confirmed sulfuric acid concentration and roughness as dominant predictors of strength.

Random recursive trees and the elephant random walk [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2016
One class of random walks with infinite memory, so called elephant random walks, are simple models describing anomalous diffusion. We present a surprising connection between these models and bond percolation on random recursive trees. We use a coupling between the two models to translate results from elephant random walks to the percolation process. We

AI‐Enhanced Gait Analysis Insole with Self‐Powered Triboelectric Sensors for Flatfoot Condition Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
The given research presents an innovative insole‐based device employing self‐powered triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) for flatfoot detection. By integrating TENG tactile sensors within an insole, the device converts mechanical energy from foot movements to electrical signals analyzed via machine learning, achieving an 82% accuracy rate in flatfoot ...

Simple Random Walks on Trees

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 1986
Let T be a locally finite, infinite tree. The simple random walk on T is the Markov chain on T with transition probabilities \(p(v,w)=1/d(v)\) if v, w are adjacent vertices, and \(p(v,w)=0\) otherwise, where d(v) is the degree of the vertex v. In this paper the authors investigate recurrence properties of tree and relations between the radius of ...
