ABSTRACT Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial solid tumor in early childhood. Its clinical behavior is highly variable, ranging from spontaneous regression to fatal outcome despite intensive treatment. The International Society of Pediatric Oncology Europe Neuroblastoma Group (SIOPEN) Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Specialty Committees ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Lower limits for distributions of randomly stopped sums
We study lower limits for the ratio $\frac{\bar{F^{* }}(x)}{\bar F(x)}$ of tail distributions where $ F^{* }$ is a distribution of a sum of a random size $ $ of i.i.d. random variables having a common distribution $F$, and a random variable $ $ does not depend on summands.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Regularity of a Randomly Stopped Sum Determines Regularity of the Stopping Moment
The paper investigates the randomly stopped sums. Primary random variables are supposed to be nonnegative, independent, and identically distributed, whereas the stopping moment is supposed to be a~ nonnegative, integer-valued, and nondegenerate at zero random variable, independent of primary random variables.

A note on the asymptotics for the randomly stopped weighted sums
Let {Xi , i ⩾ 1} be a sequence of identically distributed real-valued random variables with common distribution FX; let {θi , i ⩾ 1} be a sequence of identically distributed, nonnegative and nondegenerate at zero random variables; and let τ be a positive integer-valued counting random variable.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

On lower limits and equivalences for distribution tails of randomly stopped sums
For a distribution $F^{* }$ of a random sum $S_ = _1+...+ _ $ of i.i.d. random variables with a common distribution $F$ on the half-line $[0,\infty)$, we study the limits of the ratios of tails $\bar{F^{* }}(x)/\bar{F}(x)$ as $x\to\infty$ (here, $ $ is a counting random variable which does not depend on $\{ _n\}_{n\ge1}$).
