A Range-ambiguous Clutter Suppression Method for MIMO Bistatic Airborne Radar

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2018
The ground clutter of sidelooking Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) bistatic radar has severe problems of range-dependence and clutter spectrum spreading.

Real‐World Trends in Prenatal Antirheumatic Drug Utilization in Ontario, Canada: A Cross‐Sectional Time‐Series Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aimed to describe real‐world trends in preconception and prenatal use of antirheumatic drugs among pregnant individuals with rheumatic diseases in Ontario, Canada. Methods We conducted a time‐series analysis using repeated cross‐sectional data to examine annual patterns of disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) use among ...

Nonlinear Suppression of Range Ambiguity in Pulse Doppler Radar [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Coherent pulse train processing is most commonly used in airborne pulse Doppler radar, achieving adequate transmitter/receiver isolation and excellent resolution properties while inherently inducing ambiguities in Doppler and range.

Analysis of the effectiveness of using complex probing signals to range ambiguity suppression in space monitoring systems [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
To improve the range resolution, it is necessary to expand the capture band. However, this leads to range ambiguity interference. This problem is especially serious in space view systems.

Testing dynamic consistency and consequentialism under ambiguity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Accounting for ambiguity aversion in dynamic decisions generally implies that either dynamic consistency or consequentialism must be given up. To gain insight into which of these principles better describes people's preferences, we tested them using a ...

Is an Apple an Orange? A Large Language Model Benchmark for Candidate Term Extraction and Subclass Decisions Against Upper Ontologies in Engineering and Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Ambiguity and Social Interaction [PDF]

open access: yes
We present a non-technical account of ambiguity in strategic games and show how it may be applied to economics and social sciences. Optimistic and pessimistic responses to ambiguity are formally modelled.

SAR Waveform Diversity Using PN-Sequence and Its Optimization With Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Waveform diversity is an important technique to suppress range ambiguities and extend the observation coverage of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) without sacrificing spatial resolution and power consumption.

Tomographic Performance of Multi-Static Radar Formations: Theory and Simulations

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
3D imaging of Earth’s surface layers (such as canopy, sub-surface, or ice) requires not just the penetration of radar signal into the medium, but also the ability to discriminate multiple scatterers within a slant-range and azimuth resolution cell.

Microstructure Reconstruction in Battery Electrodes Using Machine Learning Based on Low‐Voltage Focused Ion Beam–Scanning Electron Microscopy Tomography Images

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.
