Positron range estimations with PeneloPET [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics in Medicine and Biology, 2013
Technical advances towards high resolution PET imaging try to overcome the inherent physical limitations to spatial resolution. Positrons travel in tissue until they annihilate into the two gamma photons detected. This range is the main detector-independent contribution to PET imaging blurring.

Target Association of Heterogeneous Sensors Based on Nearest-neighbor and Topology

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2012
A new data association algorithm is proposed in this paper for heterogeneous sensors information fusion system, which consists of Radar and high-dynamic-range IR, based on joint usage of the nearest-neighbor (NN) and the topology similarity. The proposed

Robust Range Estimation Based on the Slope of the Two-Dimensional Fourier Transform Ridge Using Radon Transform

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The waveguide invariant is classically considered as constant in shallow water and can be utilized to estimate the source range. When the environment is variable, the error between the estimated range and the true range fluctuates and becomes unstable ...

A method of underwater sound source range estimation without prior knowledge based on single sensor in shallow water

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2023
Introduction: The lack of prior knowledge of the marine environment increases the difficulty of passive ranging of underwater sound sources by using a single hydrophone.

Estimated mink home ranges using various home‐range estimators

open access: yesWildlife Society Bulletin, 2018
ABSTRACT Although the American mink ( Neovison vison ) is a fairly common and valued semiaquatic furbearing species, studies evaluating space use by mink in North America are scarce. We implanted radiotransmitters in 8 male and

Enhanced Path Detection Based on Interference Cancellation for Range Estimation of Communication-Based Positioning System in Indoor Environment

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A method for improving the ranging performance for localization using orthogonal frequency- multiplexing-based communication system is proposed. The most difficult aspect of performing localization using the time-of-arrival information of a communication

Localisation of unresolved targets with frequency divers array radar

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The results of angular and range estimation by conventional signal processing will be far away from true values in the case of unresolved targets due to the merged measurement.
