T2* Magnetic Resonance Imaging Uncovers Hemosiderin Burden in Pediatric Hemophilia: A Call for Sensitive Imaging Biomarkers

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hemophilic arthropathy remains the leading morbidity in hemophilia despite modern prophylaxis, and early joint damage may be missed by routine exams. This study explored T2* MRI as a noninvasive biomarker of hemosiderin deposition in pediatric hemophilia.

Genotype by environment interaction and yield stability in sugarcane

open access: yesRevista Facultad Nacional de Agronomía Medellín, 2017
Genotype by environment interaction (GEI) reduces the association between phenotype and genotype which result in relative ranking and stability differences of genotypes across environment.

Compatible matrices of Spearman’s rank correlation [PDF]

open access: yesStatistics & Probability Letters, 2019
In this paper, we provide a negative answer to a long-standing open problem on the compatibility of Spearman's rho matrices. Following an equivalence of Spearman's rho matrices and linear correlation matrices for dimensions up to 9 in the literature, we show non-equivalence for dimensions 12 or higher.

Tracking Health Related Quality of Life From Diagnosis to Follow‐Up Among Australian Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is one of the most treatable forms of paediatric cancer; however, there is a substantial burden of treatment‐related toxicities (TRTs). In addition, the long‐term changes in children's health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) due to toxic treatments are not well understood.

General correlation and partial correlation analysis in finding interactions: with Spearman rank correlation and proportion correlation as correlation measures [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Biology, 2015
Between-taxon interactions can be detected by calculating the sampling data of taxon sample type. In present study, Spearman rank correlation and proportion correlation are chosen as the general correlation measures, and their partial correlations are ...

Stability of estimated breeding values for average daily gain in Pannon White rabbits

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2011
Stability of estimated breeding values for average daily gain (ADG) between 5 and 10 weeks of age was analysed for 47 242 Pannon White rabbits, reared in 7470 litters and born between 2000 and 2008.

Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas in Children and Adolescents: Expert Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas (SPN) is a rare low‐grade malignant exocrine pancreatic tumor, mostly discovered during the second decade of life in females, with a very good prognosis, provided microscopically complete surgical excision is achieved.

Evaluating early selection in perennial tropical forages

open access: yesCrop Breeding and Applied Biotechnology, 2019
Perennial grass hybrids of Urochloa are evaluated for at least two years during the screening stage trials (SS) and advanced trials (AD) in breeding programs, an expensive and time-consuming process.

Impact of Metastatic Patterns on Survival and Response to Therapy in Neuroblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background While the presence of metastases in neuroblastoma (NB) is a well‐established prognostic factor, the clinical significance of dissemination patterns and tumour burden and their impact on response and survival remains poorly understood.
