The performance of various turbulence modelling methods for simulating cavitating flow over a hydrofoil was investigated. VOF mixture modelling was applied for the multiphase flow, along with a standard two-equation turbulence model, a hybrid RANS-LES ...

Kinetics of the HO_2 + BrO reaction over the temperature range 233–348 K [PDF]
The reaction BrO + HO_2 → products is the rate-limiting step in a key catalytic ozone destruction cycle in the lower stratosphere. In this study a discharge-flow reactor coupled with molecular beam mass spectrometry has been used to study the BrO + HO_2 ...

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Hybrid RANS/LES of flow in a rib-roughened channel with rotation [PDF]
The aim of the present study is to verify the reliability of a k-ω based hybrid RANS/LES model in reproducing the flow in a rib-roughened rotating channel. The numerical results obtained with the hybrid RANS/LES model are compared to experimental data by

CFD Simulations of Turbulent Flows in a Twin Swirl Combustor by RANS and Hybrid RANS/LES Methods
AbstractA confined isothermal flow in a Twin Swirl Combustor (TSC) was studied under both steady and transient conditions. The Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulation was carried out to investigate the time-averaged flow features in TSC under different ratios of the primary air flow rate to the secondary air flow rate.
