Floral development in Adonideae (Ranunculaceae)
Flora - Morphology, Distribution, Functional Ecology of Plants, 2009Floral development and floral phyllotaxis in species of Adonis, Callianthemum, and Trollius (Ranunculaceae) were studied with scanning electron microscopy. The floral organs are initiated in spiral sequence and the flowers have spiral phyllotaxis. The sepal primordia are broad, crescent-shaped, and truncate, but those of petals, stamens, and carpels ...

CHROMOSOMES OF OREITHALES (RANUNCULACEAE)
American Journal of Botany, 1979A chromosome count of 2n =48 is reported for Oreithales integrifolia from Peru. This represents the first chromosome report for this genus. This chromosome report is discussed in relation to other genera in the Ranunculaceae.

Floral development in Anemoneae (Ranunculaceae)
Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 2009The floral development of two Clematis species and four Anemone species (including Pulsatilla) (Anemoneae, Ranunculaceae) is described. Shared features are: (1) sepals shortly after initiation broad, crescent-shaped, as opposed to the other organs, which are narrow and hemispherical; (2) outermost organs of the androecium often smaller than the others ...

Neotypification of Delphinium dasycaulon (Ranunculaceae)
Phytotaxa, 2015The afromontane species Delphinium dasycaulon Fresenius (1837: 272) is one of the three species of Delphinium Linnaeus (1753: 530) (Ranunculaceae) distributed in tropical Africa. This perennial plant has a disjunct distribution, with isolated populations in East Africa (from Djibouti and Eritrea in the North to Malawi and Zambia in the South) and West ...

THE MORPHOLOGY OF THE EXINE IN NIGELLA (RANUNCULACEAE) [PDF]
The pollen morphology of eight species of Nigella (Ranunculaceae) was examined by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The exomorphology of all species was identical: 3‐colpate, spinulose, and punctate, but thin sections revealed two structural patterns.

The genusNigella (Ranunculaceae) ? a taxonomic revision [PDF]
The genusNigella, burdened with about 80 or more binomials, consists of only 14 acceptable species. A key, notes on the nomenclature, and illustrations are provided. The most polymorphic species isN. arvensis; its races have long been subject to taxonomical controversy and are grouped here into 14 varieties:N.

A new synonymy in Thalictrum (Ranunculaceae)
Phytotaxa, 2016Thalictrum xingshanicum was considered to be different from its close ally T. fargesii by the leaf size and number of carpels. In the present study, it reveals that morphological variation of T. fargesii had been misunderstood by previous authors. Here, we clarify the variations of T. fargesii and propose T. xingshanicum as its new synonym. A lectotype
