Rao-Blackwellised Particle Filtering for Dynamic Bayesian Networks
Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence, 2000Particle filters (PFs) are powerful sampling-based inference/learning algorithms for dynamic Bayesian networks (DBNs). They allow us to treat, in a principled way, any type of probability distribution, nonlinearity and non-stationarity.

Geometry of the Cramer-Rao bound
[1992] IEEE Sixth SP Workshop on Statistical Signal and Array Processing, 1993The problem of identifying parameters, that structure the mean vector in a multivariate normal distribution, is considered. The Fisher matrix (this is a Gramian constructed from the sensitivity vectors that are the first order variation in the mean with respect to the parameters) and its inverse are studied.

Design of Rao–Blackwellized Point-Mass Filter With Application in Terrain Aided Navigation
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2019This paper is devoted to the terrain aided navigation (TAN) systems based on the state estimation algorithms. In particular, the emphasis is laid on the design of the Bayesian Rao–Blackwellized point-mass filter for nonlinear state-space models of a ...

SummaryThe essential significance of the Cram‐Rao inequality is investigated. This inequality states a relation between the rate of change of a mean value and a rate of change of the probability measure. Simple, general regularity conditions are obtained.

Parameter estimation of photovoltaic cell model with Rao-1 algorithm
Optik (Stuttgart), 2019A novel photovoltaic (PV) cell parameter estimation method based on Rao-1 algorithm is presented in this paper. Rao-1 algorithm is a metaphor-less heuristic search algorithm and only addition and multiplication operations are included.
