Reversible Vision Loss With Pituitary Microadenoma Following PRP Injection for Hair Growth: A Rare Case Report and a Mini‐Review of the Literature

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Platelet‐rich plasma (PRP) therapy, while widely utilized for its favorable safety profile, carries a recognized risk of catastrophic, irreversible vision loss, traditionally attributed to iatrogenic vascular embolization following facial injections.

Change of bacterial community structure acclimated by nitrobenzene-containing wastewater(硝基苯废水驯化过程中细菌群落结构的变化)

open access: yesZhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2010

Intraspecific Genetic Diversity Analyses of Yam (Dioscorea polystachya Turcz.) Based on DUS Traits and SSR Molecular Markers

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
The 113 D. polystachya accessions exhibited substantial genetic diversity, clearly distinguished using 19 SSR markers and 50 DUS traits. A refined set of 14 core DUS traits was established, significantly improving variety identification efficiency. These selected markers and traits provide valuable tools for genetic research and support the utilization

Evaluation of genetic diversity in 19 Glycine max (L.) Merr. accessions included in the Czech National Collection of soybean genotypes

open access: yesCzech Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding, 2002
The random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique was used to evaluate both genetic diversity among 19 soybean accessions included in the Czech National Collection of Soybean Genotypes and their potential as a new source of genetic variations for ...

Defining the parameters of comet assay for reliably detecting DNA damage as a marker of X‐ray based irradiation in insects treated with non‐lethal doses for export fruit sanitation

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 10, Page 7232-7243, October 2025.
Houseflies, clover root weevils, and mangoes were used to demonstrate the comet assay's adaptability. Our findings indicate that the comet assay can reliably detect irradiation‐induced DNA damage in both insects and fruit. However, the assay parameters require careful adjustment to account for differences in insect tissue types and life stages ...

Characterisation of Magnaporthe oryzae isolates from rice in peninsular Malaysia.

open access: yesCzech Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding, 2016
The genus Pyricularia (anamorph)/Magnaporthe (teleomorph) includes important destructive pathogens causing blast disease on various species from the family Poaceae. Thirty-five Magnaporthe isolates were collected from diseased rice plants (variety MR219)

Genetic diversity analysis of rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.) differing in salinity tolerance based on RAPD and SSR markers

open access: yes, 2011
Thirty rice cultivars were evaluated for salinity tolerance during the seedling stage and were divided into five tolerance groups including tolerant (T), moderately tolerant (MT), moderately susceptible (MS), susceptible (S) and highly susceptible (HS ...

The sls‐1 and sls‐2 Genes Confer Significant Resistance to Septoria Leaf Spot (Septoria lycopersici L.) in Organic Field‐Grown Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum)

open access: yesPlant Breeding, Volume 144, Issue 5, Page 705-714, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Septoria leaf spot (SLS) is a major foliar disease affecting tomato production, causing significant yield losses. This study evaluates the effect of two novel SLS resistance genes, sls‐1 and sls‐2, on SLS severity in open‐field tomatoes and their potential to be used in hybrid tomato varieties.

Oregon Wolfe barley genetic stocks – Research and teaching tools for next generation scientists

open access: yesJournal of Plant Registrations, Volume 19, Issue 3, September/December 2025.
Abstract The Oregon Wolfe Barley (OWB) mapping population (Reg. no. MP‐4, NSL 554937 MAP) is a resource for genetics research and instruction. The OWBs are a set of doubled haploid barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) lines developed at Oregon State University from the F1 of a cross between Dr. Robert Wolfe's dominant and recessive marker stocks.
