The identity of Inocellia sinensis Navás, 1936 (Raphidioptera: Inocelliidae) clarified
The identity of Inocellia sinensis Navás, 1936, is clarified based on the unexpected finding of the primary type of this species. The male of this species is re-described. Amurinocellia australis Liu, H. Aspöck, Yang & U. Aspöck, 2009 syn. nov. is treated as a junior synonym of I. sinensis, and I. aspoeckorum Yang, 1999 stat. rest. is restored as a

Family-Group Names for Snakeflies (Raphidioptera)
Journal of the Kansas Entomological Society, 2012Abstract Those family-group names for snakeflies (Neuropterida: Raphidioptera) are catalogued. The type genus and combining stem are identified for 22 family-group names, including the new subtribes Mongoloraphidiina and Ohmellina. The higher classification of the order is briefly summarized.

The larval head of Raphidia (Raphidioptera, Insecta) and its phylogenetic significance
Zoology, 2008External and internal head structures of larval representatives of Raphidiidae are described. The obtained data were compared to characters of other neuropterid larvae and to larval characters of representatives of other endopterygote lineages. Characters potentially relevant for phylogenetic reconstruction are listed and discussed.

Molecular phylogeny of the Raphidiidae (Raphidioptera) *
Systematic Entomology, 2010We present a molecular phylogeny of the family Raphidiidae including representatives of 21 of the 26 genera. Sequences from the nuclear gene for the large subunit ribosomal RNA ( 28S rRNA) and the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 3 gene (

Spermatozoa of megaloptera and raphidioptera (insecta, neuropteroidea)
Journal of Ultrastructure and Molecular Structure Research, 1988Abstract Spermatozoa from representatives of two minor insect orders, Sialis lutaria , order Megaloptera, and Raphidia spec., order Raphidioptera, have been examined by electron microscopy. Spermatozoa from both species were seen to have an elongated sperm head and a sperm tail containing axoneme, two mitochondrial derivatives of equal sizes, and ...
