The poorly known family Barbutiidae is one of the most mysterious groups in the Prostigmata. We review the family at the world level, synonymize the genus Namibarbutia with Molothrognathus of the family Caligonellidae, describe the first Australian representatives of the family, Barbutia australia sp. nov. and B. longinqua sp.

<strong>Raphignathoidea of China: a review of research progress</strong>

This paper reviews the taxonomy and applied research of the superfamily Raphignathoidea in China from 1965 to 31 Dec. 2009. So far 64 taxonomic papers had been published by 47 authors, describing 82 species collected from China as new to science. And 17 applied papers had been published on the biology, ecology and related fields.

Fauna of the Coastal Aegean Raphignathoid Mites (Acari: Prostigmata: Raphignathoidea)

In thisstudy, a total of 32 species belonging to the super family Raphignathoideacollected from various habitats of coastal Aegean region were identified. Thesespecies were diagnosed and their distribution in the world was emphasized.Between June 2007 and June 2008, 175 samples of soil and litter fromterrestrial and semi-aquatic habitats were collected.

A new species of Cryptognathus (Acariformes: Raphignathoidea: Cryptognathidae) intercepted from New Zealand kiwifruit

Systematic and Applied Acarology
A new species of Cryptognathus, C. deliciosus sp. nov., is described from kiwifruit (Actinidiaceae: Actinidia deliciosa) imported from New Zealand on several occasions. The new species is most similar to C. australiensis Luxton, 1973, with which it shares very short dorsal setae. These collections represent two surprising findings.

Bu çalışmadaGölmarmara ilçesi (Manisa) rafignatoid akarların (Raphignathoidea) mevsimseldağılımları incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, Gölmarmara ilçesinden Haziran 2013-Mayıs2014 tarihleri arasında bir yıl süreyle her ay toprak, döküntü, yosun ve likenörnekleri alındı. Alınan örnekler etiketlendi ve plastik torbalarda laboratuvaragetirildi.
