UTX Responds to Nanotopography to Suppress Macrophage Inflammatory Response by Remodeling H3K27me3 Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 29, August 7, 2025.
Compared with those on the pTi surface, macrophages on the TNTs surface present reduced myosin II contractility, which facilitates the nuclear translocation of the UTX. This reduction decreases the enrichment of the repressive H3K27me3 histone modification at the Abca1 gene locus, which promotes the transcription and protein expression of ABCA1 ...

The velar chord and dynamic integration of the gular valve in crocodylians

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 308, Issue 8, Page 2234-2249, August 2025.
Crocodilians have a unique gular valve that forms a seal between the oral cavity and the pharynx. The gular valve has traditionally been treated as two parts: a mobile ventral flap associated with the tongue and a fixed dorsal velum palatini. This work describes a connective tissue band, the velar chord, which functionally integrates the two parts of ...

Central Odontogenic Fibroma: A Rare Benign Tumor With Potentially Life‐Threatening Implications

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Central odontogenic fibroma (COF) is a rare benign tumor originating from periodontal tissues. Although it typically grows slowly and remains asymptomatic, COF can cause significant complications when neglected, including displacement of teeth, bone destruction, and even life‐threatening airway obstruction.

Bidirectional Relationship Between Dental Diseases and Sleep Disturbances in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 11, Issue 4, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Certain dental diseases in pediatric patients may disturb their sleep, affect their oral health‐related quality of life, and result in a negative influence on cognition and behavior. On the other hand, sleep disturbances may also increase the risk or participate in development and progression of dental diseases.

Two New Species of Ochotona (Mammalia, Lagomorpha) From Xizang, China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
During small mammals faunal surveys in Xizang conducted in 2003, 2023, and 2024, we collected two unidentifiable taxa of Ochotona. Phylogenetic analyses based on both mitochondrial and nuclear gene sequences resolve these specimens as distinct clusters within the O. macrotis and O. forresti species groups.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Dental Pulp Assessment: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 62, Issue 2, Page 362-388, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has recently emerged as a promising modality for dental applications, offering radiation‐free imaging with superior soft tissue visualization capabilities compared to x‐ray‐based techniques such as spiral or cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
