A numerical model of the weft yarn filling insertion process in rapier looms

2006 American Control Conference, 2006
This paper presents a mathematical model of the weft yarn filling insertion process in rapier looms. A finite length segment of yarn is spatially discretized. Each element can interact only with the nearest neighbors by a viscoelastic interaction. The elastic and damping constants have been estimated by using experimental data obtained with different ...

Filling Velocity Changes at Tip Transfer on Rapier Looms: A Simple Analysis

Textile Research Journal, 1996
In rapier filling insertion by tip-transfer between two half-width rapiers, the filling clamps may be operated either positively or negatively at transfer. The trajectories of the transfer point on the giver and the clamping point on the taker rapier are observed for both cases.

Numerical simulation model for optimisation of weft insertion on projectile and rapier looms

Mechatronics, 1995
Abstract A high weft insertion rate in a weaving loom can cause yam breakage and a non-uniform tension in the weft yarn at shed closure. A numerical simulation model is proposed that is able to calculate the tension profile in the weft yarn during insertion.

Weft tension test system of rapier loom based on MC68332

2010 The 2nd International Conference on Industrial Mechatronics and Automation, 2010
To measure weft tension of a rapier loom exactly during weft insertion, this paper reasonably configures technological parameters for the rapier loom, adopts a weft tension test system composed of MC68332, main shaft rotation angle sensor, tension sensor, data acquisition chip and display to achieve real-time measurement of dynamic weft tension ...

Parameterized design of beating-up mechanism in rapier loom based on pro/engineer program development

Proceedings of the 2012 IEEE 16th International Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work in Design (CSCWD), 2012
In some mechanical transmission structures, the conjugate cam mechanism is used widely. The previous design method is not only tedious, but the substantial design is not strong, difficult to form a simulation animation, and inconvenient for subsequent analysis. The equations of conjugate cams curves are derived by the analytical method.

FEATURES OF CALCULATING THE CONSUMPTION OF RAW MATERIALS IN THE PRODUCTION OF TERRY FABRICS ON RAPIER LOOMS

International Journal of Advance Scientific Research, 2022
The above calculation system allows you to determine all yarn costs by positions and types of raw materials, and also makes it possible to determine separately the total mass of yarn spent on the cut false edge. This calculation system makes it possible to systematize expenses and specifically deal with their reduction by positions and types, knowing ...
