Wir stellen die Aza‐Büchner–Curtius–Schlotterbeck‐(ABCS)‐Reaktion vor: eine milde, katalysatorfreie Methode zur Homologierung von Aryliminen. Im Gegensatz zum traditionellen BCS‐Mechanismus durchläuft das Diazo‐Intermediat eine selektive C─C‐Insertion zur Bildung eines quartären Zentrums.
