The Sensitivity of Differential Ratings of Perceived Exertion as Measures of Internal Load [PDF]
Purpose:To investigate the sensitivity of differential ratings of perceived exertion (dRPE) as measures of internal load.Methods:Twenty-two male university soccer players performed 2 maximal incremental-exercise protocols (cycle, treadmill) on separate days.

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Agreement between session RPE and individual training impulse across a range of running speeds [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The training impulse (TRIMP) provides a means of quantifying training dose during physical training; it is traditionally based on the heart rate response to exercise and involves establishing the heart rate – blood lactate relationship. A new

Inspiratory muscle training and its effect on indices of physiological and perceived stress during incremental walking exercise in normobaric hypoxia [PDF]
This study evaluated the effects of inspiratory muscle training (IMT) on inspiratory muscle fatigue (IMF) and physiological and perceptual responses during trekking-specific exercise. An 8-week IMT program was completed by 21 males (age 32.4 ± 9.61 years,

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.

WEEKLY PROFILE OF TRAINING LOAD AND RECOVERY IN ELITE RHYTHMIC GYMNASTS
The aim of this study is to analyze the weekly profile of internal training load (ITL) and recovery of elite rhythmic gymnasts during a season. Eight professional rhythmic gymnasts of the Brazilian senior group participated.

High intensity intermittent running and field hockey skill performance in the heat [PDF]
Nine well-trained, unacclimatized female hockey players performed the Loughborough Intermittent Shuttle Test (LIST) interspersed with three field hockey skill tests in hot (30°C, 38% relative humidity) and moderate (19°C, 51% relative humidity ...

The pan‐HDAC inhibitor belinostat increases the expression of the pro‐apoptotic proteins Bim, Puma, and Noxa and induces apoptosis in ovarian cancer cell lines and patient‐derived tumor organoids when used at high concentrations. Moreover, inhibiting the anti‐apoptotic proteins Bcl‐xL or Mcl‐1 sensitizes these preclinical models to the cytotoxic effect
