SIZE RATIO UNIVERSALITY IN CHAOTIC SYSTEMS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2012
In this paper, we attempt to predict the size of the chaotic attractor at the parameter value where the period tends to infinity for nonlinear systems that follow the period doubling route to chaos, and for which the Feigenbaum universalities hold.

An Evaluation of Ratio Systems in Radioecological Studies

Health Physics, 1996
Replicate samples of soil, Juncus squarrosus and Calluna vulgaris were taken within a grid system on an organic peatland soil site in Ireland. A similar sampling survey was carried out on an organic rich forest soil site in Sweden, where Vaccinium myrtillus and Vaccinium vitis-idaea with corresponding soil samples were taken within a Picea abies stand.

Measurement Technique for Occupancy Ratio and Transition Ratio in Cognitive Radio System

2017 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW), 2017
This paper proposes the novel high accuracy and low complexity measurement for channel occupancy ratio (COR) and channel transition ratio (CTR). In cognitive radio, the terminal selects the suitable channel in order to obtain more access opportunities.

MAP Ratio Test Detector for Radar System

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2021
In some radar applications, neither the channel parameters nor the transmitted signal are known a-priori at the radar receiver. As such, both the transmitted signal as well as the channel parameters are random variables. Given the knowledge of distributions of the unknown parameters, we propose a maximum a-posteriori (MAP) ratio test (MAPRT) detector ...

RV6RV5 voltage ratio in systemic hypertension

The American Journal of Cardiology, 1990
Abstract A ratio between the R-wave voltage of leads V 6 and V 5 >1.0 has been reported to be useful in the diagnosis of left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy in different clinical situations. 1 Recently, Spodick and Koito 2 studied the sensitivity and specificity of additional cutpoints 3 will be worthwhile.

Branching Ratios in Activated Systems

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 1997
Branching between reaction channels in activated systems is often observed to vary with changes in the potential energy surface as Δln(k1/k2) ∝ Δ(Δ − Δ ). RRKM calculations demonstrate that in many, but not all, cases the log−linear relationship accurately describes branching in nonthermal distributions of reactants with energies well above the ...
