Formulating and estimating dynamic linear rational expectations models [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Economic Dynamics and Control, 1979
Abstract This paper describes methods for conveniently formulating and estimating dynamic linear econometric models under the hypothesis of rational expectations. An econometrically convenient formula for the cross-equation rational expectations restrictions is derived.

Understanding Degradation Mechanisms in Water‐In‐Salt Electrolyte. Part 2: Impact of the Electrochemical Parameters on the Cycling Behavior of LiFePO4 versus TiS2

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Cycling water‐in‐salt batteries involves complex degradation processes that require multiprobe analysis. Using online electrochemical mass spectrometry (OEMS), postmortem X‐ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) (including hard‐XPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the degradation mechanisms are examined in composite electrodes (TiS2 and LiFePO4)

Rotating BEC in an optical lattice in Uniformly frustrated Josephson Junction arrays regime: Vortex configuration formulation for ground state

open access: yes, 2010
We consider a rotating BEC in an optical lattices in a regime which can be mapped to the Joseohson junction arrays. In this regime, we formulate the ground state energy in terms of vortex configuration.

‘They just want the perfect kids on show’: The illegal exclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities from primary schools

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Guidance from the Department for Education stipulates that permanent exclusions should only be used as a last resort and where there is potential for harm to come to anyone in the school setting. Suspensions are positioned as a tool to communicate to a pupil that their behaviour is in breach of the school's behaviour policy.

The Prospect of Hydrolyzed Feather Meal as Ruminant Feeds Through Protein Quality Improvement by Microbes

open access: yesAnimal Production: Indonesian Journal of Animal Production, 2003
The waste of the broiler processing (feather) is a potential source for animal feed. However the presence of keratins cause limited of feather use. Before using, therefore, feather must be treated to hydrolyze cysteine disulfide bound dominating keratins

On Second Thought: The Impact of Confessions, DNA, and Belief Perseverance on Students' Perceptions of Guilt and Interrogations

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite growing public knowledge of false confession cases, research with students and community members continues to find that people assume confessions indicate guilt. The present research explored the implications of belief perseverance: the tendency to maintain a belief even when confronted with compelling contradictory evidence.

Review of recent advances in the design, synthesis, and modification of biochar for remediation of heavy metal pollution in water

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Research frontiers in using biochar for heavy metal remediation. Abstract Heavy metal contamination of water has long been a serious environmental issue. Biochar and biochar‐based composites are emerging as effective and sustainable solutions for heavy metal removal due to their strong adsorption abilities and environmentally friendly nature.

Multi-step beef ration optimisation: application of linear and weighted goal programming with a penalty function

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 2008
The aim of this paper is to present the method and tool for optimisation of beef-fattening diets. Changes in policy environment and changes in costs of feed pose challenges for farm efficiency.
